Accumulator tank

Has anyone installed a larger accumulator tank than the little Shur-Flo one? And if so, what pressure did you use?

I have had one of these plumbed into the fresh water system of my coach for 6 years.
It has always been set to the original factory precharge pressure... (38-PSI).

Thanks for the reply. Couple questions. I assume you are using the 2 gallon? I watched a youtube video where the tank came preset to 8 lbs. He raised it to 25 and worked much better.

Correct....this one: http://www.menards.com/main/plumbing...00392872521139
Sorry.

BTW the air pressure in the tank should be set to 2 - 3 psi below the "cut-in pressure" of the water pump...(on my water pump the "cut in pressure" is 40 psi).

Size of tank doesn't determine pressure used.........

Pump start pressure determines what pressure for tank.
Tank pressure should be set 2-3# LOWER then pump start pressure

*start pressure for typical RV water pump is 15# lower than pump discharge pressure (ie: 45# pump -----30# pressure switch setting. A 55# pump ----40# pressure switch setting)
