Ace 2013 29.2 where is the check valve? looked again and agin
we have no hot water....lots of pressure in the cold water line but hot water lines just drip! Cannot locate the check valve? would it be behind the Atwood water heater??? followed all the hot water lines inside and outside of coach...waiting for a call back from Thor and Camping World...everything worked fine yesterday....boondocking for a few days, today with full hook up no hot water...

On a standard model Atwood the check valve is screwed into hot out (top) of water heater (hot water line connects to this 'nipple' which is the check valve)

thank you... problem is that the tank appears to be behind the water heater....can the water heater be removed (after disconnecting propane, electric, and water?)

Tank and heater are part of the same. Looks like a small keg when you get it out. Be sure to turn off your propane of course.
My check valve was hidden behind a physical valve for winterizing.

I don't recall exactly but my buddy had a simliar issue with his 29.3. I think it had an extra valve that was hidden beneath the beauty panel under the sink. I had to remove the panel the check his brand new check valve and found an extra closed valve.

If you can access hot/cold water lines at back of water heater in order to disconnect.......can't you then access and remove 'nipple' in hot out (nipple is check valve) ???????

There may be a check valve directly threaded into one of the nipples on the back of the Hot Water Heater, if that got stuck closed it would cause the problem you are having. Lots of newer RVs are designed this way including my Winnebago Vista.

My 2008 HR Endeavor has the check valve right on the tank. There was no way to get enough torque to remove it without taking the tank out. I had to heat the valve to get it to come loose. The plumbers putty that was on it was really baked. Two RV neighbors popped over to lend a hand.
The tank is light enough with the water out.
