Ace Class A motor homes
Almost ready to buy a Class A and looking at the Ace 30.1. How many Ace owners are happy with their Ace Class A. Thanks so much for any feed back.

We had a 2012 Thor ACE 29.2 for two years. We put 21,000 miles on it. Drove to Alaska summer of 2015. Never had a minutes trouble with it. You will hear a lot of people who run this rig down but remember there are a lot of happy customer. We have moved on to a DP and love it. But the ACE is where we learned to love owning an RV. Great introductory model. Good Luck.

We have a 2014 27.1 for about 2 1/2 years. For the most part it has worked very well and basically trouble. free. Had a problem with the slide controller. Thor mounted it in a storage bin and did a poor job of sealing the hole they cut for the wiring. Water got into the unit as Thor installed it with the wires facing up. Water and electronics don't mix.
Had the front end aligned right after we got it and it improved the handling. Also lowered the tire pressure a few PSI as it isn't maxed out on weight.
The storage is sufficient in both the bins and inside closets. A queen size bed would have been better than the king for just getting around inside.
A couple of weeks go we saw a 27.2 at a RV show. The extra slide makes the inside so much larger.
Just remember it is an entry level RV and you can't compare it to RVS that cost 2,3 or 4 times more.

We have a 2016 30.1, and are very happy with it. Just over a year old and just did the first oil change. We've had a few minor issues, but overall, its been very satisfying. Our next mod will be replacing the couch with recliners so we can get 4 adults to sleep somewhat comfortably.

Any brand coach is susceptible to issues after production. These are complicated machines and often buyers, especially first time buyers may not be as familiar with large coaches and may run into problems which owners with more experience may not have.
That being said, so called "Thor Bashers" are apparently live and well on a TON of sites out there! For example:

Either they seem to spend their entire waking moments bashing Thor's or perhaps there really are problems with these coaches. A common thread seems to be that the suspensions as they come from the factory are sub-standard, and need to be substantially upgraded for many $$$ in order to provide a ride that owners feel acceptable.
Another thing that seems to stand out to me is a lot of owners purchased their coaches from dealerships like Camping World, and what might have been otherwise small problems morphed into LARGE problems because of issues with warranty repairs, coach sitting for months on end on the dealers lot with no repairs done, or no parts ordered. A lot of the problems related may not be actual problems with Thor, but may instead lack of attentiveness on the part of the selling dealers.

We had a 2013 29.2 and had lots of fun in it. Had a few issues, but nothing unexpected or the extended warranty wouldn't cover. It held its value pretty well and we upgraded to a diesel.

triplewide.. you said it best its like every dodge is gonna breakf or ford..found on road dead.....i bought an Alfa and every one says same thing....but the best deals are sometimes ones you can make like new as low cost to buy...most dont care for coach and it degrades like trailer trash per say...only a comparison ...so if it looks looks like a duck and tastes like a duck its good to go...just love well made duck..and goose which i have two more to process.
