Another way to do it would be to add 2 barrel switches by the Distribution panel. I have two of them from the shore power and the 3000 watt inverter. One switch to run things in the bedroom (reading Lights, Computer & TV). the other switch is for the front of the coach (TV, Lights and whatever else I want to run when not on shore power. No chance of a mixup or if plugged into shore power at the same time you would not harm or burn up anything. You run the circuits that you want to be able to use the inverter for thru the switches. The switches have 3 positions SHORE POWER, OFF, INVERTER.
