Adv. tax

Can anyone give me a rough estimate of adv. taxes on a 2000 40' Holiday rambler vacationer class A motorhome?

If you're talking about ad valorem taxes, it depends where you are. In Texas, for example, there are no personal property (other than real estate) or ad valorem taxes.

It varies all over the map.......depends what state and county you Register it in. Here in AL my coach is $188.00 just for the ad valorem part, Total costs $426.00. Rook

Like said above it depends on where you live Georgia maybe $300 its based on value are you sure it's a 40ft vacationer maybe 36 to 37ft. Can you get your hands on last years tag receipt?

Using my coach and what my Georgia Ad-Velorem taxes were last year it works out to about 1% or $10 per $1,000 in assessed value.

When you go to the tag office, be sure to tell them 35, not 40, makes a big difference, They will want to see the title and bill of sale anyway and will get the information from that.
