I suspect you can find owners with any brand of DP that have had problems, but many of those problems are not company related. They stem from problems with other manufacturer's complex systems and appliances that are added by the MH manufacturer to the MH. Also, keep in mind you usually only hear about problems. You rarely hear about the "good" ones. We are members of several rally clubs, and know many folks with Fleetwood products. We are only aware of one coach that had serious problems and that was a new 2008 Southwind gas unit.

We have personally owned 2 Fleetwood diesel pushers, and have never had any problems with either of them. If we decide to purchase another DP it would probably be another Fleetwood product.

But that's just our humble opinion.

Darrel and Candice,

You're welcome, and congratulations. I'm sure you'll enjoy your coach.

FWIW Fleetwood does some of the best electrical system design and fabrication in the RV industry. All terminals and splices are from a single manufacturer and are applied with that manufacturer's application tooling (crimping tools).

My trusty 98 American Eagle (Fleetwood) has been an extraordinarily reliable unit with no electrical issues at all.

Take a look at wire terminations and harness layout when you are shopping for a DP and you might find that Fleetwood is at the top of your list.

Congratulations on the Providence.....beautiful units!

Wow. That floorplan erases all the things we want changed with ours*

I think you've made a stunning choice! Congratulations.

*We both have to put up with the constricted entryway, at the top of the steps; but, Fleetwood didn't fix that until this year, I believe. No biggee.
