Advice, thoughts, and opinions

We are thinking about moving to a bunkhouse, and possibly a diesel. We are still fairly new with RV's, so we would like all of you experienced people to chime in and tell us what you think, and make recommendations. Our budget will probably not allow for anything but a low end diesel and we really don't want to go over 38 ft.

You didn't quantify your budget but i would recommend an older high quality over a newer low quality MH. For example, a 1994/95 Country Coach Concept can be had for around $60K. They are however, 40' and do not have a slide. Keep in mind that a slide adds $25K to $30K to the cost so the quality must suffer to maintain a low MSRP. The MSRP on these coaches were in excess of $400k and typically listed at around $475K. They were the best MH ever manufactured, excluding Prevost conversions.

I was at the Boston RV show last weekend and saw some new M/Hs with bunk beds. They looked nice. I thought about them and wondered if my grandkids would be going with me long enough so that the bunks would still be worth it to me in 5-6 years.

Or, when the time comes that you sell the m/h you are cutting down your number of customers to those only who want bunks.

Just my thoughts.

Have you looked at Tiffin's Allegro RED 38 QBA (bunk bed model)? See the floorplan at: http://www.tiffinmotorhomes.com/alle...floorPlans.php .

Bounder Classic 34B. 35ft 7in

Bunks are a fairly recent floorplan for coaches, but you might be able to score a used DP that has bunks if you look long enough.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?
