Aero Turbine 50/50 where do I get one ?

Where is the best place to buy a Aero 50/50 muffler. I would like to try one on my 3126 cat to see if it makes any difference in performance. Also thinking about putting a bigger air cleaner on to help it breathe better.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, RVjimmy. I just ordered one from Parleys Diesel Performance two days ago. They had a sale with no tax and free shipping. I paid $174.19 for the Aero Turbine 5050XL; will be here Tues. Best price I could find overall. I am installing it myself and with the additional elbow, clamp, hanger, etc. I figure I will spend roughly $250 total. I have an 04 Cat C-7, so yours is about the same setup for exhaust, I would think. Hope this helps.

I installed the 5050XL on our 05 Itasca Horizon 36RD along with the MP8 tuner on the C7 Cat. Performance was greatly improved and MPG Went from average of 6.1 to 8.3 over a 15000 mile trip this spring (Towing a Honda Pilot) Save your money on the air cleaner. What you have is what you need. The free breathing aftermarket cleaners let in too much dirt and will damage your system. (make sure you get the 5050XL and not just the 5050, the 5050 has no resonator)

Just ordered one from Parley's can't wait to put her on and see if there really is a difference. Will install it myself as I have good access to truck exhaust parts as I'm service manager at a trucking company.

Parley's really comes through with fast service, got my muffler in about 3 days and that was over the weekend. I just got around to installing it today. It has went rather well with some fabricating an bracket making. Got everything all lined up today and have a little finishing details to work out tomorrow and I should be ready to ride again. I need to order a new shiny extention as when I tried to remove the old one it was rotted out. It was chrome and I will go with stainless as it lasts forever. Well I guess I could have finished but it was cutting into happy hour so I had to cut it short, a guy has to keep his priorities in order.

5050XL install

I'm curious about how much is involved in this project. Is the 5050XL about the same length as the standard muffler on a C7? What additional pieces were needed, assuming that nothing broke on the old system?

I did a quick check and found them on eBay for just over $100.

5050 install

Be careful with some of the units that are not from dealers. I have read that some out there that have bad welds that were supposed to be scraped.
The 5050 is shorter than the stock muffler, but when you add the 90 degree elbow is is about the same.
