After Market Parts

Good Evening,

I am looking to replace the tail light lens assembly in my 2004 American Eagle, however, I am not sure the best resource to find a new set. I am ok with purchasing the same type or even an upgraded set.

Thank you in advance!

Your current tail light lens should have a DOT number on it. You should be able to use this to search and find a replacement.

I had to replace headlights on 2002 Windsor, they are the same that are on a 1998 Lincoln Navigator. I went to Ebay and found a set, they were after market. I replaced them ~6 years ago and they have held up very well.

I also broke on of my tail lights, they are off of a Jeep, found a set of after market on Ebay. I bought the set in case the one didn't match but it did, looks great.

Do you know who made the originals? Have you tried doing a search with the numbers in the lenses? I did that with my headlights and found they were from a BMW.

I will check a few things today when I stop at garage and report back. They do look like a Chevy based on those pictures and going for memory.

Call American Coach Customer Service and they should be able to tell you what specific vehicle those lights came from. It's even possible that their parts dept may have them, but you can probably find a less expensive source elsewhere, or get a set in a salvage yard (car or RV).

Google the numbers or Ebay search numbers only, I think they are chevy Astro. Then look at LED after market lights for same. You might be shocked how little the LED replacements are. I have a 2005 Tradition and found I have Honda Accord tailights and BMW headlights (which I have replaced).

TYC 11-5063 does indeed show up as a Chevy Astro tail light. TYC is an after market company, not sure who makes the OEM Chevy light.

I am leaning towards an upgraded design tail light.

Maybe something like these. Click image for larger version
