Air-actuated vs air-boost hydraulic brake system

Can anyone tell me what type of air brake system is on a 2006 Coachmen Cross Country Class A Diesel Motorhome? I can't seem to find this information in the manual.

In Canada, a special "air brakes endorsement" on a driver's license is required in order to drive an air-actuated hydraulic brake system. It is not required for an air-boost hydraulic brake system.

Not sure exactly what you are asking, but we had a Coachmen MH when we first got into RVing in the late 1990s that was air over hydraulic. I expect, with a 2006 you have regular air brakes. What type of chassis is it?

My 2005 CC Sportscoach has straight air brakes. It is my understanding that later models all have the same. Mine does have drums brakes all around, rather than discs. This is true of later models also, I believe.

Thanks all for your responses. Still not 100% sure on the type of air (boost versus actuated) hydraulic system but will proceed with getting the air brake endorsement on my drivers licence. In studying the Air Brake Endorsement Manual, I see no significant difference in the way pre and post trip inspections are conducted. Keep your fingers crossed for me on the exam
