Air bags on Class A Winnebago

In order to manually deflate the air bags, would I have to do that through my automatic leveling system?

If you have an HWH leveler system then there is a manual dump switch on the control unit.

I wouldn't think the levelers would have anything to do with air bags. Most levelers are hydraulic (oil) and air bags are pneumatic (air).

On our coach the only way to dump the air bag suspension is to use the leveling system by Power Gear.

Your Itasca 40U most likely has a HWH leveling system, which has a manual dump switch for the air bags. It also dumps the air bags when you select automatic-leveling. You will find a link to HWH (and owners manual) in a sticky on the Winnebago forum.
Your MH is quite similar to D Lindy's I suspect. You do have your motorhome listed, just 2 clicks away from here, good job! And welcome to irv2.com
