I have a 2002 coachman pusher took it out on a maintenance drive a week ago and had a fitting come loose on the air line back suspension got it repaired a day or so ago and did not inflate found the leak today when I sprayed soapy water on the thing that is leaking I think it is the air compressor it is located just inside the rear passenger tire in front of the air bag and has a diaphragm looking thingy on the bottom it is bought the size of a old coffee can and does have air lines entering or exiting it. help identify it took pics but the laptop is taking fffooorever to upload em thanks

Sounds like the service brake actuator. It has a diaphragm inside and NAPA carries various sizes BUT be very careful as the rears also have a powerful spring inside them to set the parking brakes. They need to be caged before disassembly.

Can`t help without pictures, but a brake chamber will only leak in 2 situations.

1, If you have your foot on the brakes, the main chamber will leak.
2, If your parking/emergency button is pushed in, sending air to realise them, the spring chamber will leak.

The brake chamber is on the axle, near where you are talking, and on the opposite side, but a bit bigger then a coffee can.

If you are talking about the brake canister, with the pancake inside, DO NOT, try to take it apart!

Let a truck mech. do it, it requires a special tool, to insert from the top of it, to pull the spring back! The tool most likely is on the bottom side of one of the two canisters, and it will be about 3 to 4" long, look like a bolt. If you do not know the difference between a air compressor and a brake canister, do not try to mess with it! PLEASE! Take it to a truck service shop, and watch the mech. when he does it! It is very easy, if you know what you are doing! And after you see him do it, you will be able to do your self! It is most likely the pancake leaking, and a very easy, inexpensive fix!
