Air Compressor
Looking for a inexpensive air portable air compressor for the RV. My tires use 85 PSI. Any suggestions. Thanks.

What ever brand you get, make sure it is good for 150#. Sears has then for about $150.

We recently purchased a compact Porter Cable 150 psi compressor from Home Depot for $90. This great little unit weighs about 25lbs and easily inflates our 22.5 tires to 100psi. We bought this unit as it is exactly the same as the Sears/Craftsman model reviewed in previous posts.
I also added quick connectors to each end of the hose so I can stow the hose separately and easily attached my digital gauge/ double ended chuck. This set-up makes topping-up tires a breeze. I realize I could use my Coach air but it would involve running the Coach... fooling with the cut-in/out of the compressor and generally annoying everyone in the Park!

I have that one as well but didn't realize they were still selling it. Very good unit, I've had mine for about seven years now.

Can I not use my on-board air system? I was told by one fellow RV'er that he purchased a separate air hose with the proper fitting so he could use that....
Any ideas???

You can, but it's a pain and takes about forever. I have the gallon Porter Cable and can top off my RV 1s at 120 psi in two minutes or less.

Desil pusher air hose DIY
FANSILL, yes you can and it works great!! I bought a 50' coiled air hose, a shutoff valve with a snap on connector and a tire fill unit with a built in gauge. The Freightliner air manifold on our coach was up front under the hood and installation is easy. To use the system just snap on the hose, put the engine on high idle with the cruise control resume button, and you have 130 PSI available to fill your tires quickly. I used this on a 5000 mile trip in July and it worked great. Hope this helps. DACOTAH

So.... last June I took my Bounder to Durango, Co. ....towed the Nissan 4x4.
New tires with 500 miles on them. All 6 tires stayed at 90 psi the whole 2000 miles. Now its been parked for 2 months, and guess what....they're still at 90 psi.
Why does everyone think they need a compressor along with them?? is everyone else losing air ??? 
And yes, I use proven acurate air gages to check them with.
