Air horn
Got a 99 discovery dp with my air horn under the front end pointing down, and when I hit the horn in the middle on the steering it only click, what is the cause? thx for all info

First check all your fuses, and remember ; looks good isn't good enough ; test them with a volt meter. The click you can hear my be an indication that the relay is operational, but if the fuses are good you need to find the air solinoid and check it for power when you hear the click. If you have power to the solinoid then check for good ground in the solinoid wiring.

If you hearing a click the solenoid is activating but No air is Passing to the horns, could be an air supply problem or Stuck valve in the solenoid or just rusted out horns.

And don't forget the most obvious which, believe it or not, I did once thinking that I had a problem with the air horns. And that is you have to have the air pressure built up in order for the horns to work ...duh! I couldn't believe I could be that stupid.

It is my firm belief that we are all that stupid at one time or another. It's just that some of us hate to admit it. I once had someone hit the horn button while I had my head under the hood to see if I could locate the air horn relay. I quickly realized that both the air horn and the electric horn work when the button is pushed. I also learned that the electric horn is located right at ear level and in close proximity when you stick your head under the hood looking for said relay. The resulting scare and injuries quickly dampened my enthusiasm for locating the offending relay and to this day, I still tense up every time I think about hitting the horn button..

We have had success with removing the air horn solenoid and spraying it with some penetrant and then tapping on it until the shuttle valve starts to move again. Spray the inside of the solenoid with a liberal amount of penetrant and let it work. I am of course assuming that you have a good supply of air and the electrical from the horn switch to the air horn air solenoid is all sound. Good luck. Take care of the bumps and bruises.
