They have pills for that. Check for power at the pump if you have power bad pump.

My mind was in the gutter when I read the title of this post!!!!! It was kind of funny!
Sometimes the inner workings get out of wack and need to be cleaned or in the worst case, replace the horn. Air systems are not always dry and things happen inside the horn that should not.

Our MH has a separate switch to control the air horns, but uses same horn button. It gets accidentally bumped on/off sometimes.

That happened to us once as well. Switch on the dash to turn off the air horn, then you are left with just the regular horn when you push the horn switch!

When mine wouldn't honk the horns were clogged with dead bugs. Sprayed with garden hose and they came back to life.
Others in the forum have found faulty air valve (probably on the fire wall under the front hood). There are threads about that in the forum.

Have a nice day - Darrel

Sorry I'm thinking clear now if it runs on chassis air it could be the solinoid switch

Get yourself a hammer and have someone try to blow the horn while you give the air solenoid a good rap with the hammer. If that fails, spray some WD-40 into the solenoid by disconnecting one side of the air line, let it soak for a few and then repeat tapping solenoid with hammer. This has worked for numerous members. Hope this helps.

Using petroleum based lubricants on electrical components isn't the best of ideas. It's not conductive and will end up fouling up the connections if you use too much. It might be a good temporary fix if it works.

I improved the volume of air horns by screwing off the back of the roof top horns and cleaning them out.

80% of the time it is the solenoid valve that has frozen up from corrosion caused by moisture. Blow the horn and check for voltage at the solenoid valve. If you have voltage, feel the valve and see if it is moving. If it is moving, check the horn itself.
