Air Hose Storage -- Generator Comp't.

I remember reading a post some time ago about someone who rigged up a way to carry an air hose in the generator compartment. "Search" isn't working for me So if anyone has done this I'd appreciate hearing about how it was done--I'm somewhat concerned about making it secure enough that the hose doesn't fall off in travel and get tangled in the running gear.

Thanks

pat

I carry mine in the generator compartment. It's hanging from a support member between the generator and the front cap. I use a bungie cord to hold it.

My air hose is in a Rubber maid Action Packer along with some other tools and 'stuff' in one of my compartments. I have found the Action packers great for storing items in.

CaptPat,

Can't find the thread either, but I think I know what you are referring to.

The guy mounted an air hose on a reel by his generator. The only thing is, it was a diesel pusher. The generator is up front where there is extra space.

I remember it because I plan to do the same thing on my do

If not what you remember, keep looking!

The generator compartment is one place I'd not wish to carry an air chose.. Gets kind of hot in there when you are generating.

I just saw a pic a couple of days ago. He fastened a board across the back of the fiberglass front between the frame that holds it in place. The picture was not great. He then hung the hose via bunjies. I too would be worried with that setup. As for heat on my DP generator it stays very cool in there. It sucks a lot of fresh air. The fresh air intake is the main source of noise on my 8KW diesel gen. I did some sound dampening on the intake and dropped the noise a couple of db.
