air house connector for Spartan Chassis
I owne a Newmar Dutch Star 1999 with a Spartan Chassis. In the front slide out for the generator there is a air connector designed to air-up tires etc. I am looking for a source to buy the male connector/adapter. I am told it is a Type C male adapter but I'm not sure. Anyone know?

My 2005 uses a standard automotive connector available in Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

It is the standard automotive quick dis-connect.
But IMHO you will be much happier with the Sears/Craftsman compressor that is referenced in another thread for $79.99!

There are several types of connectors, but hardware stores, auto parts stores, Harbor Freight and Northern Tool usually have them all. Probably Tractor Supply Company as well. Buy locally so that you can exchange it if you get the wrong one.
I have a Freightliner, so can't help with IDing the right type for your Spartan.

I have the same connector on my 2004 Dutchstar & I was told by the dealer that this is where the tow truck hooks up to release the air brakes when towing is required. It is not specifically there to supply compressed air but may be possible in an emergency. I'm with FormerBoater & purchased another compressor for filling tires, etc.

At Harbor Freight I found two types of connectors that look alot alike but don't work with each other. The one is called "industrial" and the other is called "automotive."

Check close at the fitting. The factory usually wire tyes the hose adapter to the quick connect. Might be on front or back one.

Exactly right!! Harbor Freight carries both.
I tried using it to air my tires, after an hour of having the main engine idling and still not being done I went and bought a small tank compressor that works MUCH better.

I have mine hooked up, standard Walmart quick disconnect. Works fine, no problems, plenty of pressure. Don't use it often and it beats hauling around a compressor. Why buy another compressor when you have one built in?
