air purifiers

Good morning my fellow campers!

My wife and I use our 40' Class A Fleetwood to stay in on the weekends at my daughters volleyball tournaments and extended practices. We have out two little dogs that travel with us. At home, we do not normally have any issues with allergies, but it seams like when in the motorhome, both of us start sneezing and such. I am looking into air purifiers, but wanted some input from you folks. Any suggestions? We are assuming because of the smaller space, dust, puppies, etc..., we could use cleaner air. Thoughts?

air purifiers

I have asthma, and bought an Oreck for my bedroom at home, an could tell a difference from day one. I picked another one up at a garage sale for the motorhome. The thing I like about it is the filter is washable. I have had my first unit for at least 10 or 15 years. I did have to have the motor replaced once, but it runs 24/7.

I've had an Austin air cleaner in my S&B bedroom for over twelve years - running 8 plus hours everyday, and finally last year decided to buy a new one "just because" and retire the old unit. New one working as great as the retired unit did. The filter in these things is HUGE. 20 pounds heavy for just the medical grade HEPA filter! That is why you don't need to be concerned about frequent replacement. In fact like most air filters, the dirtier they get, the
Smaller the particles they are able to pull from the air.

I did a lot of research before buying, and still am convinced it is the best at what it does.

Hi Danny, we have a African Gray Parrot, that also travels with us......they are dusty! So after years of all kinds of different type's of air cleaner's, we found this to work the best , we have one at home beside the cage, and one in the Coach beside his cage.......dust in the house and Coach is gone......for the most part. They work wonderful! I got one at Amazon, and then the other one at Wal-Mart but I see Wal-Mart is out of stock online right now.
