Thank you Fred for your response and well wishes. I looked at the old threads and saw some helpful feedback. However, am sad that there seems to be little to no current activity. (Almost at a standstill after 2008). My biggest issues are: lots of fogged windows and major exterior blisters. Looked at fogdoctor.com in Arkansas and would be out over $2k to repair them all. Still looking for repair options for all the blisters short of a total body paint job for $14k+!!!!
Bottom line.............love our Alfa.

SeeYaDP : Alfa See Ya! Diesel Pusher Owners Group
The other See Ya group is above. Both should have good in on the coach.
We used to have an '04 Gold and an '03 See Ya 40'. Have fun, their storage is great.

Most of the Alfa owners are on alfaseeya : ALFA SEE YA MOTORHOME
It's a very good forum.
Check out Alfateers, they have any parts that you might need.
If it has to do with Alfa's, it's on the forum. The more we use our Alfa, the more we like it.

Alfa See Ya Owner

I am an owner of a 2004 Alfa See Ya and have had this motorhome for 8 years. My wife and I have thoroughly loved it all these years. It has been very comfortable, lots of storage, and rides great when on the road. Yes, there have been some problems with it, but most owners like ourselves have dealt with those problems as they came up. We heard that these problems were similar with most other RVs built in the 2000's. Early in the 2000's (2003-2005), several people were very upset with the company (now out of business) and posted a lot of negative information about the company and its employees....mostly not true, but this information seems to propagate on the internet. I noticed a lot of folks have posted their opinions who don't even own one of these vehicles....notice how bad information seems to continue. Anyway, the appliances are all standard as in other RVs, as is the chassis (freightliner) and engine (Caterpiller 350 - C7). If the owner, as we have, has kept up with the upkeep and regular maintenance, they should have had excellent performance and reliability, as we have had. After Alfa went under, some of their maintenance folks bought out their equipment and have a great support business called Alfateers, in Fontana, California (909-428-6775). I have used their services such as replacing a basement door, and several windows. They always have what I need and have shipped across the country when I couldn't get to California to install the item. Other Alfa repair folks include Dick Albritton in Choudrandt, LA (318) 278-1677; Charlie's Service in Sunset, UT (801) 547-7630. There is an Alfa See Ya forum both on FMCA web site and on Yahoo. If you are interested in purchasing an Alfa See Ya motorhome or need assistance with your new motorhome, I suggest that you not only talk with these repair folks but talk with some owners to get their version of how they like their unit or where they get it serviced, not someone who is just passing on someone else's opinion.

Thanks!

Michael,
Thanks for this informative reply. I have recently purchased a 2006 Alfa Founder and, so far, love it!!!! It appears to have been very well maintained, both mechanically and aesthetically, and I don't need any of the services/vendors you mention. However, am sure I will at some time and have made note of those you suggest.
Dennis

Hi Cnitall, welcome to the forum. I don't know anything specifically about Alfa's. But like Michael my coach has a CAT C7 sitting on a Freightliner with the house built by a different manufacturer. I've have had, and have, trouble with fogged windows, fiberglass repairs, Norcold refrigerator, slide seals, etc. I can tell you I parked in with about 10 Alpa's at the Freightliner Service Center in Gaffney, SC waiting to get their annual service (I was there for my annual service also). I was told they were a part of a group of about 25. The others were at a local campground waiting their turn since the Freightliner campground couldn't hold them all. All that I talked to seem to be happy and satisfied with their coach.
