Seems like there were quite a number of reports of delamination.

The engine and chassis are good but I was told to stay away from the them because the build quality was not good. However, I have never owned one. I hired an RV consultant to help me find an RV and he told me to not even consider one.

So was our Country Coach but there isn't any warranty left anyway. But Winnebago now owns CC which may or may not be a good thing!

And, having looked at the Alfa Golds I just found too many instances of "corner cutting" to save a few $$ which was one reason for going with the two Dutch Stars we ordered. Newmar didn't cut corners.

A friend of mine had one with basement A/C and in-floor ducting. He always complained about its lack of ability to keep the coach anywhere near cool even with temps in the high 80's to low 90's.

Two areas I know of, gelcoat blisters and basement AC's. And they loss value quicker. Which may be as advantage for a buyer.

Real possible that people looked behind the glitz and saw how they were constructed so we didn't buy them.

I worked in a body shop after retiring. We had several Alfa Coaches in for delamination issues and blistering. I saw a quite a few in the $50k range for repair. I would stay far away from one.

Well I don't own Prevost or Newell but I did see them and the are sweet. I also never owned a Alfa but did see a few and they are not so great.

Same here....we looked them over found them to be very poorly made. They were taken off of our list. We later narrowed down three other brands and then did factory tours of those three brands. We made our decision and after a lot of crawling in and out of motor homes.

The point is.....you don't have yo own one to know that you shouldn't buy one. You'd have to be foolish to think otherwise!
