Just got my renewal bill and the premium went up a whopping 30% over last year, this is a Flordia policy. No claims tickets or accidents.

Anyone else seeing this ?

My Allied coverage went up about 20% for no apparent reason. Hartford/AARP came in at 50% of Allied. We are now Hartford customers.

Cheers,

Our Allied stayed the same as last year. Renewed on January 21st. We'll see how good Allied is now as on Feb 22 we were unfortunate to be in Del Rio, TX during a sideways gulf ball size hail storm. Been working with a Allied/Nationwide agent and the damage is over $15k to the MH. $8k to my tow vehicle (USAA). I will get a chance to check out just how good Allied is this spring/summer when I get the MH fixed. So far "Nationwide is on my side" !!

Our Allied policy went up $300 or about 18% from last year. No tickets, no claims, no reason. I will be checking around and then call them for a reason. We had been with Foremost for several years, but they kept increasing until they lost our business and now Allied is playing the same game.

Yep, mine went up too BUT I did have one speeding ticket (first in 30 years) and an accident (first since high school and I'm now 69). Still going to go insurance shopping though!

Since I have Allied for the RV that is up for renewal in May I called The AARP/Hartford number and was told that they won't insure just my RV, I would also have to switch my cars to get a policy.

Just checking to see if anybody has just their RV policy with them?

That would not work, the only thing I own is a MH,

I asked Allied why my rate jumped 20% and was told that it was not adjusted last year for the claims in the rv industry and the 20% was for last year and this year. I'll look at the Hartford, but not if I have to join AARP to get it.

I was told that Allied/Nationwide had reassessed rates on MH's in FL,SD,TX,CO and MT as those have an abundance of MH and they are recovering costs. FCIS worked with me to ease the increase of about
20%. Tried GIECO whom I was with before and they quoted over $1500 for 6 mo.
