Allison Tranny

Hi
I have a 1998 Fleetwood Discovery with a 5.9 Cummins and Allison 6 speed. I would like to change tranny fluid but not sure where to start. What tranny does this MH have and does it have a filter. Can anyone help?
Larold

Probably an Allison MD3060.

You can find the instructions on the Allison web site I think.

Yes it will have a filter, if it's a 3000 series likely 2, they come as a kit. Lots of fluid to get out and back in again, but not a bad job. If you don't have a manual have a look at your tranny there should be an easily visible id tag.

There is also a retired Allison transmission engineer posting over on the Allison Transmission Forum. Post your question over there, and he may be able to help. especially if you can get the model number.

Download a PDF of Allison Owners Manual Here

You have the MH3060 with 2 internal filters.
It usually takes 16-17 qt on a change.

More Discovery Information can be found Here
