Alternator Alarm

I just had the alt replaced and all seemed good until I got on the road. The battery volts displayed by Alladin began to exceed 14 volts and the alarm sounded. The voltage spike appeared to shut down the inverter (needed for res frig while driving) and the volts began to fluctuate between 13.2 and 14.2. This settled down in about 5 min but it wasn't until about an hour later that I realized that the frig quit.

Had to clear the fault code on the inverter and all returned to normal. What's causing this and what do I need to do to correct/prevent it for the future???

My system includes:
- 4 golf cart wet cell batts
- a 600 watt solar system
- a Magnum Battery Combiner, and...
- a Magnum AUtomatic Generator Start system.

Thanks In advance!

That seems on the low end for a high voltage alarm to go off. Most diesels now are charging at 13.7 - 13.8 volts just idling. I would have the monitoring system checked out.

Alarm doesn't go off until 14.2

Still seems low. Do you have a manual for the Alladin system?
