Alumi-lite woes

I have a 1993 Alumi-lite Class A motorhome sitting on a F53 Ford chassis. There is a couple of problems I have with it and I'm hoping that there is someone that can help me. First one is one of the leveling jacks will not retract unless I give it a little nudge. Second issue is I have the check engine light on and when I brought the coach to a shop and they looked everywhere for the data link connectors, it has the old style I've been told. The mechanic and I searched every spot that we could find online to look for it but to no avail. The third problem is that the engine is running extremely rich, so bad that at idle you can see a black line on the ground from the exhaust pipes. I don't know if it matters but the coach was originally bought down in Florida and now it is in BC Canada. I really like my motorhome and would like to get these problems/issues resolved.

When you find your ECM connector please post a picture. I have a 1988 on a Chevy chassis and I can't find mine either. I have a post in the Vintage RV forum. So far, no response.

I used to have a 93 HR 1000 on the ford chassis and it does not have a odbII connector but the proprietary ford EFI ECC IV connectors. Mine were under the doghouse on the drivers side firewall.

This thread in the Ford subforum here on IRV2 has pictures in post #4. Mine was in a similar location as the 97 shown in the pics.

Location of OBD connector 97 F53

Mike
