American Guardian Compass Extended Warranty

Looking at buying the subject extended warranty from dealer on a 2012 Bounder. I've searched the archives and the internet and not seeing a lot of information on this company and program. Anybody have any actual real world experience with them or recommendations for other good extended warranties? Thanks - Ted

American Guardian is who our dealer was trying to sell to us. Buying through the dealer is $$$$. They make lots if $$$ this way. Just last night we decided to go with wholesale warranties and let the dealer know and all of a sudden the dealer has come back with a price that is now $250 more then wholesale warranties. The price from the dealer started at $6500 then down to $4500 and now $3450. Now the difference between the 2 are deductible and $250.

I wouldn't buy one from a dealer because of their markup. You can always get an extended warranty later. I would check with www.wholesalewarranties.com and see what they'll do for you. There's other companies also, so shop around.

Thanks for the replies. We're at a deal breaker situation. Coach is a 2012 Bounder 33C and we're not comfortable driving it off the lot w/o some type of extended warranty. The subject contract has "extended cause of loss" w/$50 deductible and looks like it will cost us less than $500/year for six years.

Has anyone ever filed a claim with this company? How did it work out? I've read mixed reviews on the internet.

Thanks Ted

Is that a 50 deductible using the dealer as the repair shop? The deal our dealer was trying to sell us was 100 deductible but a 50 if we used the dealership for repairs. We feel the same with wanting to take a trip that will void the dealers 15 day warranty so we will wait for WW inspection prior to leaving. Depending how long this takes depends where we go and if.
