I am one of those dog show people, travel usually alone or with one other RV, with 5- 6, have had as many as 9, westies. Most of time heading to shows stay at walmarts as I am self contained and don't need anything but a generator run for few hours.
When I do need a CG nearly all KOAs allow pets

Also use either the directory or web - dog friendly
Or dog friendly.com. It isn't just RV parks but hotels too

Nearly all of our shows are at Expo centers or fairgrounds. Often these fairgrounds allow others to stay there if no other event is going on so that's another idea.

There are MANY RV parks that you can stay in , but you need to call and discuss with first.

Last yr we were in 5 states- Tx to Utah and had 3 weeks of non show times and found 5 RV parks to stay in.
Have fun on the road!

the omega 3/6's are fish oils. if you go to petsmart they sell a GNC brand specifically for shedding. (it's got other stuff in it too) it's pretty expensive but worth every penny... my silas's shedding has decreased significantly... just a table spoon or 2 on his food and it took a few weeks... but my wife won't let him go without now .. as a matter of fact we are now giving a cat supplement to see if we can decrease the shedding from our maine coon cat.

Thanks Dave, I'm headed to Petsmart as soon as they open it's that bad. I thought our Golden shed a lot, he had nothing on Heidi, I think this dog was bread to produce hair.

We have a 100lb 3 yr old German Shepherd and a 70lb 3 yr old retired racing Greyhound. We've had no problems camping in State and County parks in FL...just keep your tags/vaccination records with you. I've seen more restrictions at private parks regarding the number of pets and size limitations.

Funny how that happens. We started out with 2 and before we knew it had 7. We're down to 5 now. They don't travel with us though.

Our pack has been full timing for 2.5 years now in a fifth wheel. My husband and i started with 4 dogs: one 50 pounder, one 45 pounder, one 25 pounder and a little 7 pounder. Sadly, in Aug '11, our littlest member passed on so we're down to 120 total pounds of canine happiness.

We have recently (last couple of weeks) decided it's time to upgrade to a Class A to better house/transport our pack. We have never been denied access to an RV park and our dogs love the lifestyle. I, personally, miss having a dog door but all of the walks I take keep me in good shape.

I would recommend always carrying your vet records and call ahead to any RV you'd like to stay at, just to be sure.

Our 4 "girls" are red in color (note signature). If the park is a little "horsy" about the number of animals, we walk 2 at a time. In 3+ years and 15,000+ miles we've never had a problem.

Hal, how are your girls doing? That's a great idea! I wouldn't be able to get away with it though....but honestly, I can't imagine the CG coming in and taking a head count....but, I'm sure it would happen if I tried it!

Tell Ms. Jenny hello and hugs from Tina and I!
