Another Coolant Question.

Okay I have conquered the fuel water separator, fuel filter, oil filter, changing of the oil but now I'm messing with the coolant. I understand about the different kinds and types of coolant and (SCA, OAT, HOAT, etc). My question to anyone is, I have the Baldwin Fleetstrip test kit. I can determine the freeze point, but danged if I can understand how to read, decipher (whatever) how the rest is done. I know what colors the test strip turned, but how do you figure ratio of molybdate to nitrite? My coolant isn't orange, but is blue/green. Can anyone PLEASE help. I don't even know if this can be explain to me over the internet. If there is a web site or video great, but anything has got to help somewhat.

Since you are going through your coach and changing all your fluids and filters, just go ahead and use this and don't worry about the strips:

Hi BigAWB,
My vote is the same as Rich and Cork. Consider changing to an extended life coolant and one can forget about the strips. I lost the skill to read the strips when I changed to extended life coolant 6 years ago. I know this does not answer your question, But it might be an answer to the problem. I really can't remember how to read the test strips.

Another vote for changing to an OAT coolant in both your engine and generator.....no more testing....life is simple.
