I will, but I didn't take a picture of it yet. I'm out of town now, and heads back home tomorrow. Standby....

Another flooring question

Actually.... I found this one. However, I did redo it since then because I didn't get the nose of the trim piece seated correctly. There is about one inch of carpet between the steps and the last floor board. This picture has the footboard folded up.

I did not tackle the drivers area. I also left the carpet on the seat pedestals and will be installing trim pieces around them. For the LR slide, I cut the flooring at a 50 degree angle to provide the ramp.

After the flooring is done (hopefully this week), I am looking to replace the love seat and the sofa. Definitely not bolting that love seat down on the new floor.... Gotta replace them!

Great job!

Finally got around to wrapping it up.... Minus a few small pieces of quarter round in the bedroom. Between travel for work, baseball, and life it has taken longer than planned.

We decided to hang on the the furniture for a while longer, as we didn't really get around to shopping for new.

cork flooring ?

So all these wonderful photos make me want to pull the old carpet and replace with wood flooring. I actually like the cork style, but notice it has a thin layer of cork on the back. My question to anybody is what type of adhesive are you using and do you think it will hold to the cork securely? Of should I consider another type of flooring?
You guys motivate me.

I used TrafficMaster interlocking flooring which requires NO adhesive as it floats and a gap is left all around the perimeter to allow for contraction and expansion - the gap is covered by quarter round and the quarter round is fastened horizontally to the base of the wall/cabinets as when it is fastened to the floor it will inhibit the needed movement. Mine has been fine for over a year now (in Colorado) and has been below zero and above 100 and looks as good today as when I finished it last year (I took a picture of a thermometer sitting on my floor at degrees).

Those that fastened the stuff down had warping, splitting and general displeasure.

HTH!
