Another step problem / Question

So, I went and got the RV out of storage today. The steps would not retract. I played with them and it appeared they were just stiff. Got the RV home and pulled the pin. Steps were free and the motor ran fine. turns out the motor is trying to push the steps out to far and binding and also trying to pull the steps in to far. I see no adjustment for the limits, are there electronic adjustments somewhere to limit the travel?

Any idea what brand your steps are ?

Kwikee , uses a load sensing relay , sealed inside the control unit. Non adjustable.
Are the steps blowing the 12v circuit breaker?

They are Kwikee, they are not blowing the fuse, motor is getting hot, binds both in the full open and full close.

I'd say clean up all the grounds in the step system and re-test, if the system isn't powered/ grounded 100% the controller may malfunction ; but you may need a new controller.
