Never realized all of the issues with these XRV's .
Remember you Guy's need to call Michelin consumer line and file formal Complaints !
Maybe a Petition is in order !

One thing to consider. If a tire company rep says they will honor the "mounting" date as the start of the warranty and will put that in writing on tire company stationary then you should have a good 5 year warranty.

Never heard of a "dual only" tire marking. Maybe this is something they invented to allow thm to move old inventory.

For many many years I always thought of Micheline as being the best tire.....not anymore. I had to replace the tires on a company van with less than 30,000 mile due to the sidewall cracking. Then last year I replaced the Micheline tires on a dually that we couldn't get to balance. And then lastly, over the last year we were looking at new and used motor homes and most of the used units with Micheline tires suffered from cracking sidewalls.

I made sure the Entegra we bought didn't have Micheline tires.

Wow, I thought it was just me that had never heard of a "dual only" tire marking. But when a tire engineer hasn't heard of it, then I know there was a serious problem with those Michelin tires.

Yokohama's are great ! I have the same size and have had them on for 5 years and 50,000 miles. MUCH BETTER than the cracked Michelins that I took off .

Don't like it. But I don't think it's a problem at this point. XRV from 08/2010.

I just traded my Canyon Star. When talking with the salesman at the dealership. He said he's seen Good Year tires that are 15 yrs old without cracks. From my experience, I see than half that on Michelins.

The level of cracking on this 5 year old tire doesn't alarm me enough to worry. I may take this to my truck/RV tire shop to get their opinion. Tire will be replaced in 2 years anyway.

If you are satisfied with cracks like that in your tires I am happy for you.
For the $$ that my Michelins cost me I was not, and Michelin Customer Care did something about it.... (aka: arranged for the replacement of all 6 at 3-1/2 years of age for less than $150.00 each).

When I called Michelin it wasn't to complain but rather to inquire about the sidewall cracking and to explain that my Tire Dealer refused to rotate my Tires, They jumped at the opportunity to assist me, maybe because My Tire Dealer is an extremely large Dealer here in Indianapolis, who knows. One other Important point was the fact that XRV's are a very uncommon Tire to be found in stock at Truck Tire Dealers across the country because of their size-(255/80 R 22.5. After a thorough investigation as to what sizes I could upgrade to and after a lengthy conversation with American Coach I chose the XZA3 Plus- (275/80 R22.5) a much more common tire found the the Trucking world, in the event that I needed to replace one on the road.
Either way I am an avid Michelin Fan. As I mentioned above my Coach has never had the Ride and Handling that it has now.
