Here in the tropics, we don't hibernate....lol and winter is the best time for camping close in and for not going too far north.

NH Dave

NH Dave, After spending time in the USAF inLorang AFB in Maine and in Plattsburgh AFB I said enough of this white stuff, so what did I do? I moved to Londonderry NH. Well after a bit of time I said enough is enough and the bride and I moved to Long Island NY. We could not take all the crowds so we located to the Hudson Valley of NY to again another place with snow...I know ya can't fix stupid.
We were both raised in the Hudson Valley of NY and would you think the both of us would have learned anything...nope! Like I said ya can't fix stupid. So we were going out on a shorty for three days until I heard the weather report last night saying perhaps a spring snow storm late PM today.
Now at the 11PM weather / news...starting later in the am we are expecting 3 to 4 inches and it will stop pre dawn and start up again in the am for an additional 2 inches or so.
So we sled the trip and will attempt it later in a week or so and head down to Gettysburgh with my bagpipes, the bride and the dog and take a walk on the battle grounds to play a few tunes for those who reside there.
There is no way in hell I'm going to drive the box on wheels in the snow when I am driving RT 81 in the PA mountains. Ya just gotta love living in the north east...Ha! < Piper K9 <

Firstly, thank you for your service! That's very cool that you're playing your bagpipes at Gettysburg, I bet it sounds great! I've been to a couple of funeral services over the years where they were played and found it to be very powerful and moving.

I hear you on the weather!! Our kids are very excited for trips as well this year, we all are! I have no love at all for the length of the snow/cold season, but my bride and I used to live in So Florida (for 14+ years) and were there through 5 scary hurricanes (and the resulting damage that followed). Those are no joke and as much as I really dislike the cold winter and snow, we'll take it over hurricanes. We moved back to NH full time a few years back. It makes the anticipation of spring that much more!

Happy trails and have a great season!

Nice 10 day trip to the mountains of NC, to Hilton Head Island, Perry GA for the rally, then Cross Hill SC. Pic is of Cross Hill. Not sure why but I love to take photos of the sun setting.

Very nice photo, but I'm not sure what that and some other posts on this thread have to do with being 'Anxious to take your coach out of winter storage'?

The thread was NOT about being 'Anxious to rub it in if you're in a warm place with your coach'.

Geeez...you people. lol

Happy trails all...enjoy you lucky buggers!
