Any color as long as it's tan....

Hi, hubby and I currently own a tt but are seriously considering a MH. We started looking at several makes and models....and boy oh boy it's a tan tan world out there!! Not much color in the MH world . I see that several manufacturers have a choice of tan, beige and brown... I'm wondering if anyone has or has heard of any interesting colors. I've seen older models with blue. Other than a fully custom coach of course...... I fondly remember our first PU 20 years ago it was a funky sea foam green Lol

The absolute worst color for RV carpet is BLUE..... Blue carpet also fades as fast as any carpet made.

Have you ever seen BLUE dirt? Dirt comes in many colors, and NONE of them make a blue carpet look good.

I agree! But, as has been said, the tan, brown hides a lot. We have brightened the neutral browns up with colorful pillows, throws and artwork.
There are many days that I am thankful for the brown interior!

I offer the dealers pick the colors that they know they can sell...to appeal to as many buyers as possible

There are other colors out there...like...I just picked a mfgt and model - Fleetwood/Providence:
2015 Providence by Fleetwood RV

There are reds and oranges in the exterior choices:
http://www.fleetwoodrv.com/providence/exteriors
And a whole bunch of colors in the interiors:
http://www.fleetwoodrv.com/providence/decor

How about LOTS of red on an exterior:

It's what sells that matters

It's kind of what I found when building spec homes, build for the masses, chose colors not everyone loves but will not scare anyone away either.

The lighter colors are easier to cool in the Summer, also as someone said above they don't show the dirt as easily.

In My Humble Opinion; When shopping for a Class A motorhome I would use the following priorities:

1. Find a manufacturer/model that is reliable and built with QUALITY, not cheaply/poorly built.

2. Find the right size/FLOORPLAN that works for you.

3. Find a used but well cared for motorhome with detailed maintenance history.

4. If you have satisfied 1-3 above, now try to find a color scheme that you like.

I think you'll find 1-3 above much more important than the color over your period of ownership. A bad coach in the right color will be a nightmare. All coaches are not built alike, there are definitely some brands to avoid, and some others to seek.

I did all of the above and have been very happy with our purchase. Oh, and I love the color, too. I have found no issues with having a darker color regarding heat or keeping it clean. The roof, of course, is white and that is the part of the coach that sees direct sunlight.

Good luck on your search!

HAH! We ordered our coach with black upholstery. And the outside is polished pewter. My DW picked so I like it.

Talk about rebels!
