Any experience with LevelLegs Levelers?

Our recently acquired 2005 Bounder has an Atwood Levellegs system, which is working fine. The previous owner, however, had some experiences which put the system into alarm mode when trying to retract. The 14 step process to get the unit out of alarm mode is involved.

He checked with a service shop who told him they would have to replace the whole system for $6k or so, so he just stopped using it. Now we own it and I've used it several times with no problem, but I still cross my fingers whenever we are getting ready to retract.

Any advice or insight into this particular system? It's not hydraulic, but uses motors at each leg, I think.

Charlie

I had that system on a Jayco 5th wheel. The most important thing is FOLLOW THE STEP BY STEP DIRECTIONS each time you use it. Once I started doing that it worked pretty good.

good luck

Can you elaborate? I'm not sure how the system allows you to take short cuts.
