Any ideas?

I have access to a 1967 Mack fire truck, diesel, 47,000 miles. Any ideas?

You have to remember that those are road miles. Those trucks also run for the pump operation, so there is no way of knowing how many hours this engine has on it.

Restore it and drive it to Dearborn, MI for the fire-truck display at Greenfield VIllage.. Get matching outfits and show it off.

Watch back episodes of "Emergency" John and Roy buy an old fire truck for 80 bucks from a junk yard, They restore it, get it all working and Dressing up in period uniforms, head to the parade to show it off.

DO NOT do what they did next.

If you have the time, money and expertise restore it. Makes a great parade piece for community events such as St Patricks Day and such. Just a thought.
