I don't, but my mechanic suggested it. I guess I am not a good client.

I have never used any additives to any of my vehicles and some of them sit for extended times and have never had any problems. There was one time I had to clean the carb on my boys small dirt bike but it was a small unit and got crispy in there. My Ford does not tick either.

I don't use additives in any of my vehicles, gas or diesel (other than an anti-gel in cold weather).

I've never used additives either & hasn't been an issue .
My weed eater is 13 years old , never even changed a spark plug in it, I've never put additives in it & it always starts easy.

I rarely use additives in fuel or oil.

With that said, I just added a Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner to a full tank of gas;

WHY - The truck just threw a P-0174 Lean code. My first step in a code like this is to put a fuel injector cleaner in the system, reset the code, and see what happens.

I also never use fuel additives.
IMO additives of any kind are a "feel god product".... (far more beneficial to the seller than they are to the buyer/user).

I'm glad you are keeping the carb clean on your fuel injected Ford V10.

A couple of years ago, I had gotten some water contaminated gasoline from a national brand gas station in my 2010 Dodge Challenger. After $1,500 in repairs (which the oil company paid for) the mechanic told me to run Lucas Fuel Additive in the gas for the next two tankfuls to remove any residual moisture from the fuel system. Car is still running great! I usually run Lucas Fuel Additive or SeaFoam in the gas in my cars once or twice a year to keep the fuel injectors clean.
