Anybody know what this Vintage Bus is?

Is the bus itself unmarked, or were you unable to get in close to check it out?

Needs a lot of TLC, but almost anything can be restored if you put enough time and money into it. It could make a cool machine, different than everybody else's, for sure.

unfortunately this is as close as I could get without getting into the 'weeds'... it's been there for many many years, and looks to be maybe a 50' model something... but I can't make out the insignia/name on the front... sorry

It's old.
It's cool.
Been sitting in weeds a long time.
It's junk.
Drive on by and say "That's neat".
Sorry,
Lynn

Couldn't get to it because of high weeds? Maybe karma is trying to tell you something.

They did but I believe the company which built the bus we are looking at went out of business in 1980. I rode a Superior bus in the 50's but I didn't care about brand names back then. It sure beat walking.
They also built Transit busses. I remember the busses run by a private company in the nearby city having the Superior badge on the front.
I had a friend back in the 80's who did a conversion on a Superior school bus and built a gorgeous motorhome out of it. If you didn't know better you would think it was a factory build. Unfortunately he took sick shortly after the bus was done and he didn't really get a chance to enjoy the fruits of his labor. I have no idea what happened to his creation.
I also have a friend who has a Superior bus upstairs in a large barn which serves as a bunkhouse for snowmobilers in the wintertime. The downstairs of the barn has a full service bar and lounge. His friends stay on weekends and they all have a ball there. I've had some fun there too. I never had to sleep in the bus but maybe a couple times I should have. LOL

From what I can see, it's a SnakePit 36a.

No, no, no. Look at the placement of the windshield wipers.

It is a MiceHome38, which is very similar to the MoneyPit38 The SnakePit 36a was very desirable, but very few were actually built, and it was replaced by the 38 MiceHome / MoneyPits which had the windshield wipers moved to the outer locations....

Did a quick search and could only find one similar bus. Did a Google search using keywords of: "superior bus images" and got one with a similar step in the roof line, but looks like it is maybe a few years newer. It is about 25-30 pictures in. No real info on it, but if you follow to the page, there is a rear shot of it.
