Anyone applied soundproofing/under coat on your diesel pusher?

Just curious if anyone has done something to cut down on the front tire road noise. Some type of under coating or sound proofing sprayed under the coach in the wheel well area.

When we bought our last car I was going to have it undercoated. They told me it would not cut down on road noise enoigh to justify it. If you want quiet, pull up the carpet and instal Dynomat and relwy the carpet.

This would be the option I’d go with if we didn’t have time.

I looked at a Holiday Rambler Navigator 96 -98 it appeared whole underside had hard spray foam between all rails with under coating over that. IDK if it was stock or not.The basement doors on that thing were solid as all get out. Not sure if they were foamed as well . They closed like slamming Cadilac door. It was very quite rig, too bad water intrusion to walls from seams in fiberglass roof he paid a lot to have all checked out and repaired. For a few grand less than asking it would make someone happy.

There are many issues with undercoating. First, careless application will end up covering grease nipples, clamps, electrical connections etc. Second, If the vehicle is not absolutely brand new, you trap moisture, dirt and other corruption and seal it in.
