Anyone know how to fix my airhorn which came on '85 Vogues

Supposed to simply push the round plastic piece in center of steering wheel like any car or MH. My mechanic is afraid to try and take that cap off for he feels it could break easily trying to do that. So he won't try to fix it. Says he tooks the actual horn apart on top, but that didn't help him at all solve the problem. Guess I am at mercy of Camping World unless any of you have any ideas or experience with an original factory air horn.

Ok since you have a electric horn switch on the wheel for a air horn, you either have a RV with Air brakes and a
electric operated air solenoid on the air line
OR you have a small
Air compresor that is turned on by the electric horn switch on the steering wheel.

You will need to figure out if its a electric problem or a air problem.

Does it MAKE ANY NOISE at all when you press the button??
A click?
You will need to either start tracing the air line to the horn or the wires from the steering column

Somewhere you have an electric valve in the air line. When pressing the horn button, it energizes the valve, air is released to the air horns. Where this is located, I don't know but would start by checking under the dash or in the front of your unit.
Good luck.
