Anyone remodel the doghouse area

Has anyone remodeled the top of the doghouse area for anything useful other than travel mugs? I would love to be able to place my side view monitor and tire monitor on it while traveling. This area seems like such a waste of space.

I agree the space is wasted and can be useful, but I don't know that I would use the doghouse for monitors I wanted to keep an eye on. My Terra had one drinkholder on the wall next to the driver's seat. Beyond that, I had nowhere to put things like sunglasses, a snack, etc., within reach. I bought a small storage unit and mounted it to the doghouse for that purpose.

For monitors, I think the huge flat dashes are also wasted space. I would suggest mounting monitors there, where one can see them without having to turn one's eyes down and away from the road.

I too would like some ideas of what can be done with this area. It seems that with all the space available to add something someone would have designed the ultimate dog house organizer!

Doghouse area

Hey ya'll,
Our MH didn't have anything on the doghouse cover so I made on that we could put 'stuff' in and also hold our drinks. Here are a couple of pictures of what I made (hope they make it).
C'ya,
patrick
