How long does the monitor stay on?

How long does the battery last in the monitor before it needs a recharge or does it require 12v all the time.

Thanks.

Monitor battery is not meant to be the only source of power while using the TPMS. You will need to plug it into a power outlet while in use. The onboard battery will only last maybe 20 to 30 minutes in my experience.

I have the 10 sensor non-flow through model and installed it last week. Working great. Now I will have a tech hard wire it to the ignition switch for a permanent dash installation. I did leave the anti-theft caps on the toad sensors since that gets driven in large towns & cities. Really only worried about druggies, thinking they could sell them to score a hit.

I've only charged mine once in the last two months, and it still appears fully charged. Probably been on around four hours so far.

We received our 10 sensor system yesterday. One (1) sensor seems swollen and does not fit into the anti-theft casing. Called EEZ and they suggested sanding the sensor until it fit. LOL. Good suggestion (not). A second sensor reads 4-5 psi low on the towed vehicle setting off the alarm. CS is not eager to help me with either issue dispute 4 phone calls and an 3 emails. Plus we leave on a trip within a few days. The swollen (over-sized) sensor works so if I can live with a 4-5 psi low reading, we'll just travel with these 2 problems. Nevertheless, we are disappointed with EEZ's lack of interest in our problems.

Wow! Sorry you are having problems. We've found the company to be extremely responsive. We've had a few problem. First monitor was defective, sent a new one out right away. Returned the bad one in same box, with the included postage paid address label. Fast forward two years (off warranty). We had a problem that monitor wouldn't stay on. Called customer service, we decided it was the power plug. They sent a new one, no charge, even though off of warranty. Got it two days later. Turned out it was a broken solder joint IN the monitor, resoldered with a pinpoint soldering iron, and no problems since!

I needed to follow-up with more information out of fairness to EEZ. The two (2) problem sensors that I mentioned above are actually the SAME sensor. I got a bit confused about which sensors were working and which were a problem. So my apologies for overstating the problem. Secondly, EEZ sent me a very polite and helpful email saying they are sending me a replacement sensor for the one that is swollen and also reads 4-5 psi low.

At this point, I believe my EEZ TMPS is working as designed with the exception of that one (1) sensor. So at the end of the day, EEZ Customer Service has been helpful to me.
