Anything new and exciting? 26'r range...

we bought the new itasca sunstar,,,26'r 27' total lenght...

it has the new v-10 6speed... so far we really like it...but is there anything better?

too bad that they don't make a small class a motorhome with big diesel power
seems like the v-10 is all you can get...even though it is the fastest most powerfull there is in the 34' and under... the smaller diesels...with the cummins weight about 10k more so it eats up all the power..

and the little mercedes diesels have no power or tow rating

ours has a walk around rear bed ( a must for my wife) and the little 3' front bunk....(i could do without..) the front bunk was a 2k plu$ upgrade that they put on all of them as an option..
also it has the bigger split bath and shower...

the sunstar can be bought new in the middle to upper 70's..

You would think Ford would offer the 6.7 Powerstroke on the F53 especially now that the tranny is the same used for the pickups. However as discussed before around here cost issues from having to do a diesel genny and probably heat issues at the doghouse. Probably cost an extra 15k I wonder how many would go for it? Would probably get 11-12 mpg and pull like a mule.

Got to wonder when Ford will replace the V10, either ecoboost or a more modern V8.

Ford really needs to put a rear track bar on at the factory and put better shocks on. With the 6-speed and for a few hundred $$$ folks would start wondering why a DP is 50k more.

Got the new PSI 8.8L gas engine could be real nice if it ever actually comes out. Spartan was showing a prototype in 2012, notice the air bag suspension:

Of course it will probably be as much a low end DP anyway.

I would like to see someone try a more aerodynamic design again like the Monaco Vesta, heck even older 80's and 90's gassers had better aerodynamics, thats where all our fuels going on these modern bricks.
