I am having a hard time trying to find out what ins. would be. This I know would be a rough estimate. I just need some sort of number to begine with. 30 to 40 footer. What an average might be for 6 mo. to a year.

I'm sure it depends on the cost of the RV and the State and locality you live in as well as how much insurance you carry on it. I think it wise to get in addition to RV insurance you get an umbrella policy as well. My Class A is new but under 100k and is about 590.00/yr. umbrella 25 bucks a month for 1million dollar coverage, just to CYA for literally any error/negligent thing I do. Fingers crossed I never ever use it.

Driving record will also make a big difference.

Driving record, where you live and work, where unit will be garaged, your credit score, value of the unit, and driving history of you, your spouse, and any other potential drivers will all be factors in your insurance rate. In addition, the amount of coverage and the type of policy will affect the total. Why don't you pick one from an advertisement that would maybe fit your wants and call an insurance agent and ask what insurance for that unit would cost?

Progressive for up to 50,000 is about 360.00 per year.100,000 is 520.00

There is absolutely no way unless you call around with the make and model and limits you could get a accurate estimate. I seriously doubt no two people on the forum have the same policy or coverage.

This is the truth. Credit score, mailing address and all the other things let them decide just how much you can bear to pay. We have great numbers all around, but our insurance did jump up a lot with our FL address. No two people will ever get the same quote. But we do not have state income taxes, property taxes, etc. that we would have had back in good old RI. Life is very, very, good for us with an FL address.

As noted above, impossible to tell. All states are different with different rates, policies, etc. You can get a quote over the phone and they'll email you a written copy, that's what I did. JMHO, but I'd not use Progressive.

Just got an estimate today on a '08 Country Coach Intrigue we're considering. Agent quoted me $1,625 annually. Seemed high at first, but considering it not much different than home owner's insurance, the rate seems reasonable.

We have a class A, 33, 2012 Tiffin and pay about $475/6 months with Geico.

We've been insured by Foremost Insurance Co. since 1995 and received excellent no hassle claim service. We have full coverage with $250 deductible includes emergency road side service for both coach and tow vehicle. Annual premium a bit high, $886.00, but it's been well worth it.

We've filed several claims over the years for windshield replacements and a couple of slide topper awning replacements and have never had an increase in our premium.
