Auto door lock

Hi all please help. We installed a security system a while back. My keyless switch when pushed normally locks the door and activates alarm. Recently it only activates the alarm. I have to use the key to lock the door. The switch inside the MH which used to do both also only activates the alarm and does not lock the door.

I would start by looking for a fuse for the door lock. Mine is in the outside compartment directly below the driver seat should be labeled. That is also where my trimark control box is located. The owners manual may also give you some insight. If all else fails call Winnebago tech support.

how about the battery that is in the lock assembly is bad... I assume its electronic and supplied power by a small battery or are there wires running to a solenoid in the door to unlock it..

I checked the fuse outside compartment on driver side....was ok and not tripped. It is not the remote as it arms the security and both power door lock switches inside does not work.
I see the control box under the driver side dash but hard to reach as the driver seat is on the way to reach. Not sure what i could do even if i reach.
Will be calling Winnebago this week.
Any ideas please advise.

Check the contact on the side of the door, sometimes they get corroded and it won't send power to the lock.

You also may check to see if voltage is actually getting to the contact coming out of the coach, this will tell if the system is working and it is not the base module.

If you are getting power and you've cleaned the contacts it may be the actuator itself. This is inside the door and actually locks/unlocks the door.

Update...today while driving the MH from Chincoteague to Millsborough our step kept retracting and extending....this happened while back and technician changed the motor and controller so I knew is less likely for that to happen again. Recently we had to shot the door very hard for the steps to retract. Last few days we had to push the contacts inside the door on the body side with fingers before closing door (four copper things that make contact with the other side).
I decided to take the cover with the contacts off and make sure the contacts are ok and not stuck. Wow....Winnebago...what a poor design. Two of the wires were separated from the contacts. I connected the wires and both the steps and the lock started working (first try the door locked but didnt unlock as i had the wrong wires connected). Second try all worked.
The wires are jammed into the body very badly and very hard to push them back. They are still feel loose and might separate again.
I am going to try to get the parts (contacts and the connections) ordered and replace them all.
Thanks again to all as always....you guys are amazing.
