During winter storage is it better to have the levelers extended to take some if the pressure off the tires or let the MH rest solely on the tires. I also have the tires sitting on a plastic tarp to act as a vapor barrier. The MH is stored inside in an unheated building.

It is your choice. There is no harm done with either method. Modern tires seem to get it together (nice and roling round) as soon as they are in use.

According to HWH it's OK to leave their levelers down indefinitely, however I prefer to leave them up. As noted, modern tires don't get square like the only nylon tires did.

HWH says "put 'em down" and that's my preference ...not to keep the tires from getting a flat spot but to relieve some of the load. The vapor barrier under them is great, and since they are inside you don't need to cover them to protect from UV

I was standing next to my motorhome recently when a minor earthquake hit. Although it was no biggie, the coach did a lot of rocking and rolling. I'm glad that motion went to the springs and not the extended jacks.

AF Chanp told you exact;y what the HWH rep. told us at the seminar at the Winnebago Grand National Rally. He said that we should have the jacks down far enough so that the flex in the tires was reduced. He mentioned that that would relieve the tires and the wheel bearings. He also said that we paid for them why not use them?
