The manual instructs that the power switch on the inverter box should be turned off when using a remote switch like yours.

I do not know what the effects are of leaving that switch on because I never have turned it on and observed.

Just a thought.

My manual also states to leave this switch off. I checked and it was off. So I turned it on to see what would happen. I left the remote switch off and I went out and turned off the shore cord for a while. The inverter was dead as it should be. I then turned the shore cord back on and now the remote panel is showing AC input, the charger is operating, and I have power to everything.
For now it appears that things are working right with the exception of the switch position.
