Awning Rib/Slide Material

Not sure what it is called, but I went on my roof yesterday and found that last six inches or so of my awning is not inserted into the slot on the roof mount. It appears that whatever the plastic line is that is used inside the edge of the awning and is inserted into the roof mount was too short. Does anyone know what this material is and where to get it? I may not be identifying it correctly but don't know how to otherwise explain.

I bet you can call Chris at Stone Vos awnings and he will sell you what you need. I think there are two sizes of the plastic rod.

I had an awning do that also. I went to a local RV parts dealer who didn't stock the cords but the mobile repairman hearing our conversation took me out to his van and handed me a foot of the stuff. It is much easier to stuff the cord into the material if you have help to maintain the slack.
