awning won't extend

I have a '05 Fleetwood Discovery, for some reason the awning won't extend. I've checked all of the circuits and even give the awning a tug, but still no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Mark

Awning

On my HR, just as I go out the door on my left is a 12v cutoff switch. It is easy to shut that switch off my mistake.

Check your fuse. I had a similar problem and as I loosened the screws to the motor I heard a click. I tighten the screws and it was working again. Try giving the motor a good thump with a non metal object first.

Mark....If the above hasn't worked, remove the plug that goes from the awning to the exterior sidewall of your motor home. Check that it's clean and not corroded. Replace the plug and try again.

Is the key out of the ignition? They won't extend if the key is in ignition.

Your electric drive motor may have injested water from either rain or a heavy wash.
On my carefree awning ( 05 Beaver Patriot ) I had same problem. After checking all fuses, wiring circuits & connections with still no awning, I looked at the motor & found it to be soaking wet and obviously he problem. I removed the motor & cleaned it & lubed it with waterproof lubricant. All worked fine after ! Good Luck
