In our bus there is a master awning power button that must be on before the awning out button will do what you expect.

Any chance you have the same?

If you have power to the awning I suspect the awning motor. Had to replace mine a year ago. AE Weatherpro. About $500 for the motor.

How can anyone help you when you still list your previous MH, not your current 05 Discovery or what brand of awning??? Fortunately you do not have that many posts so finding you upgraded was fairly easy.

When asking for help,
It's nice to post your make/model/year/chassis/etc. of the coach we're all being asked about. There are a zillion ways different manufacturers set all that type of equipment.

Power awnings have an ignition and or parking brake interlock for obvious reasons. You would not want to deploy your awning while driving down the interstate etc. While parked, ignition off and parking brake engaged, check for 12V DC at the awning switch. If present, engage the awning switch and check for 12V DC at the awning motor. If present at the motor then you have a bad motor. If voltage present at the switch and not at the motor then check wiring connections at the switch if OK then you have a bad switch. If voltage not present at the switch then it could be fuse, and or interlock. You can also jump the motor with a 12V DC source at the motor itself to check it's function.
