Back on the Road

I stated earlier in another thread that my Pace Arrow would start. Motor turned over but no spark. Tried several things and nothing seemed to work. So had it towed to a shop and after a couple of days of testing and retesting, it was decided the crank sensor was going bad. They could get it to start but then when they would go back it wouldn't start. The computer has the code in it that the ecm needs flashed or what ever it's called. They replaced the sensor last Thurs and started it several times on Friday and let it set all weekend, Monday if fired right up. So went and brought it home today, will go and check with Ford next week to see what it's going to cost to flash the computer or possibly replace it. They also changed the oil and did an inspection and only charged me 240 bucks. I ain't complaining..

Back on the Road

Hopefully they can just flash it and not replace it. I assume that the ECM is sort of a computer so they flash it with the necessary commands so it can go back to doing the things it's supposed to do. Good luck Joe, and may a brother trip over some good luck once in awhile. Pddgm......Riteworshipful!

Good luck on the re-flashing. Atleast it's running and the season is young. Plan some trips close then venture out further, you'll be fine. Safe travels.

Thanks, folks. Will be another month before we take the first trip, most likely just a fishing trip. Now for the fun part, cleaning inside and out and a good wax job.

Thanks, Brother. Been a while since I served in the ddgm slot, but it was an honor to do so.
