Back up Camera issue

Purchased a 2005 Phaeton a couple of months ago, and have recently got my wife's CR-V set up for a toad. Until now, have only used the coach back up when wife is guiding any activity while in reverse. Now with toad, I would like to keep camera on most times so I can see what the toad is doing whenever I want. Have learned that if the back up camera is turned on for more than about 2-3 minutes, it goes blank, and the B/W monitor is all snowy, like there is no signal.

Anyone have similar experience? Trying to determine if my issue is with the monitor or camera?

It sounds like a bad camera. If the monitor is showing snow, it's still working. Your camera might be overheating or some other issue. If you can use the same enclosure, replacement cameras can be found on Ebay for pretty good prices.

backup camera

Mine does the same thing, I jingle the connection behind the monitor and it clears up for a few hours or minutes.
